If desired, choose a variety of colors to decorate
lid of the pour box. You may need a plate in order to prop up the
lid end of the mold, so it's level. At this time also place a small
plate inside your freezer so after it's poured you'll have it
ready. |
| 1. Using a small 3 x 5 poly bag,
put about 8 to 10 buttons in the bag and melt in microwave at 20
second intervals. Once melted, twist the top of bag and snip off one
corner of the bag. Be careful not to cut to much, you want just
amount of chocolate to come out. Start coloring in desired area's of
the lid. |

2. After you
have colored the desired area's of the lid, place in
freezer for about 1 minute until the colors have set.
Once set, remove from freezer and starting pouring chocolate into
the lid and bottom of the mold. Here we melted about 1/2lb chocolate
in a 5 x 7 poly in the microwave at 25 then 20 seconds. We then
twisted the top of bag and snipped off one corner.
When both cavities are filled about 3/4's full, tap
the mold firmly on the counter to release any air bubbles and level
the chocolate. Place in freezer. |

3. Leave in
freezer for about 5 to 7 minutes. The Lid can be removed before the
bottom. Place a piece of wax paper over the mold then turn over.
Once lid is removed return back to freezer. Allow bottom to set for
an additional 5 minutes.
Remove from freezer. Some pour box bottoms are very
detailed and must be rubbed on all sides to help release them from
the mold. Continue pushing and rubbing the mold until the bottom
releases. With very large bottoms, setting time in the freezer may
be as much as 30
minutes. | |
